Today, as the whole World would eventually know by now, the United Kingdom has voted to leave the EU. Or, should I say, the majority of England's 60+ year-old twats have doomed the whole Country's youth to a future of uncertainty and economic instability. They have failed to realize that the World has changed A LOT in the last 70 years that the Union has been around, and failed to realize that it's not their own lives they have put at risk, but it's their youths' ones. They have failed to realize that they have not only scarred the EU, but have probably sentenced their own country to death, too.
What for?
The major complaints I've heard during this campaign where claims about the EU legislation interfering way too much into the Country's one.
I mean, seriously? Do you have ANY idea how EU regulations help ALL OF US know that the products we consume - any product at all, from dairy products to cars, medicines, toys, architecture, literally every freaking product - are completely SAFE for you to use?! Do you realize that your basic rights are granted BECAUSE of the EU?!
Apparently, nope, you don't.
Also, you wanted out to regain your supposed power, but you're actually risking to lose what's left of your Kingdom. Well, that's what you get for acting like ignorant spoiled brats.
You have made your choice, now live with it.
One thing I'd like to stress, though, is how much this will affect those who have grown up with the certainty of the European Union: we are the Erasmus generation. We are the first generation which can pride itself upon having the possibility to move around the continent and feel at home everywhere, we're the first generation to know that, despite being individual human beings, each with its own cultural background, we can all call ourself European, we can all be considered equals and we can, and must, all work together as a Union, in order to perpetrate this never before seen era of peace and collaboration.
God save our loved European Union.
And fuck off, Brexit.
